Macerated prunes with fruit

Ingredients :
16 unflavoured "large" prunes
For the syrup:
1 litre of water
500g of sugar
cinnamon, star anise, cloves, vanilla bean.
For decoration:
A few seasonal fruits (apples, pears, oranges, strawberries...)
Preparation
Make a syrup with 1 litre of water and 500g of sugar. Bring to the boil. Add the cinnamon, the star anise, the clove and the vanilla pod. Add the prunes and leave to cool. Drain and pit the prunes, add the seasonal fruit and dress with syrup.
